Do You Have It? It’s God’s Free Gift

God’s Free Gift©

Why wouldn’t you take God’s free gift?

It makes no sense to me.

It’s the only way to eternal life from the rift

        For you and me.

It starts with the words, “I do”

        Just like in marriage.

Jesus is waiting for you

        Do not disparage.

For your heart must be open

For Christ to come in and merge

With Him there’s a peace in copin’

As your sin He will purge.

For in His arms, you can remain

        High up, He will lift

And help you from sin to abstain

        No longer adrift.

For along with God’s free gift

        Comes Holy Spirit power

His mighty strength will cause a shift

In Him to stand strong and not cower.

Humbly, if you do not accept

        God’s free gift

Know this, the Lord has wept

        As many go adrift.

Thank God YOU have accepted

        Eternity through God’s free gift!

Now we know what can be expected

When we enter into His glory to lift

HIM higher, our King and our Lord, we are connected!

Seeking Your Miracle: Are You?

Here’s the sad news about the title to this blog post: Most people are not seeking their miracles.

“… You don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.” (James 4:2)

Many times, I’ve asked someone “Did you pray to God for it? Did you ask Him to bless you with ___________.” Usually, when it’s something for themselves, they lack the prayer to seek and the faith to receive it. Why? Some reply, “I just don’t pray for myself.” Others say they just don’t know why.

So, what should we do about this?

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Phillipians 4:6)

If we would simply follow God’s Word with prayer, we would be so much more blessed. He’s waiting on us to just ask Him. What’s the miracle you need today?

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself.

The Persistent Widow Doesn’t Quit

Are you familiar with the persistent widow in the Bible? (See the Bible quotes below.)

The persistent widow had a need. She sought help. She didn’t quit until she had overcome the issue.

How long until we pass the test of faith? Do you not see it? The man with the sick child came to Jesus seeking to heal his son from afar. He believed it was possible.

It’s not always easy to be persistent when we don’t see the results of our prayers. Maybe we believe God informed us of something that we don’t see happening in our life or the life of another.

On the other hand, with persistence, praying always, we can see results. Some results are absolute miracles. Keep believing!

There is a key component throughout the Bible, especially in Hebrews. It’s not always easy to have it, but it’s faith. Faith to believe in something that we cannot see yet. If we are following God in obedience to Him and what we seek is life and healing and wholeness, it is God’s will to see it through for you.

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.”

(Hebrews 11:1-3)

In the Bible, there are numerous stories of tremendous power with healings; the removal of demons from those possessed; the feeding of tons of people with what started out as only enough food to feed a few that was miraculously multiplied; the water being turned into wine; and more. We must believe for what we hope for in our persistence.

You will never be able to outdo the giver. Seek God who is the giver of life and love. Seek Jesus Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.

Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. ‘Lord,’ the man said, ‘if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean. Jesus reached out and touched him. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be healed!’ And instantly the leprosy disappeared. ”

(Matthew 8:1-3)

In another account of healing in the Bible, Jesus is amazed at the faith of the soldier. Jesus said of this man that he had “great faith,” unlike any other in Israel!

Remember What Only Jesus Christ was Able to Do

Only Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior of the World!

Only Jesus Christ was able to die to heal us of all our diseases and forgive us of all our sins. This applies to every human being from the beginning of human creation who accepts this free gift of salvation and power by receiving the Holy Spirit and seeking God in prayer.

Only Jesus Christ was able to make this sacrifice to die and regain the keys of death and Hell, to then be seen on earth alive again by witnesses, and to be resurrected into Heaven to prepare a place for us.

Do we understand this? Do we stop and remember this and honor God with our thoughts, words, and deeds?

May we contemplate and remember always. May we worship God and fulfill our purpose with joy, fulfillment, and praise. He wants to lead and guide you on your journey back to Him!

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself.

The Book of Life: Is Your Name in It?

Have you heard of the Book of Life?

I’m certain you’ve heard of Heaven. Well, if your name is not in the Book of Life, you won’t be allowed to enter into Heaven, according to the Bible, the Word of God.

“Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty — but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” Revelation 21:27

Although we have total and complete free will, God knows what we will choose before we even think it. He created us, and He knows what we are going to do and what we are not going to do and when!

I find it interesting that idolatry and dishonesty are the two named practices that will keep someone out of Heaven. These things, along with any kind of evil will keep you out of Heaven. Don’t let the following Bible verse apply to you!

Erase their names from the Book of Life; don’t let them be counted among the righteous.” Psalm 69:28

Satan roams this earth to find those people who follow him through their own free will. He is not going to save you, but he will try to deceive you into thinking he can! Do not be deceived.

There will come a time of famine. Will you take Satan’s mark of the beast to eat. Or will you be saved from Hell by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart now before it’s possibly too late.

The enemy of our soul works hard to kill, steal, and destroy. He is only successful in what God allows.

We are all in a battle. I think most people don’t realize there is a side that must be chosen. We are all given the free will to choose our side, and we will all be given plenty of opportunities to choose good over evil.

We must not let greed, money, immorality, and other evil ways to prevail. We must go to war in spiritual realms through prayer.

This battle, as with all wars, has an operational plan, and the enemy is making war with the saints.

In Revelation 13:7-10 of the Bible, we are warned:

And the beast was allowed to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And he was given authority to rule over every tribe and people and language and nation. And all the people who belong to this world worshiped the beast. They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life before the world was made — the Book that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand. Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison. … This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful.

What’s your operational plan? Are you confident that your name is written in God’s Book of Life? This is a very serious matter not to be taken lightly.

God knew beforehand whose names would be in this special book and whose names would not be listed, and also whose names would be erased! Everyone is offered salvation and the open door to Heaven, but not everyone will accept it. How sad for those who reject God.

The Most Important Result of His First Miracle!

If you read the post on the Facebook page, then you’re wondering what the answer is to the question that was posed there.

If you haven’t seen the Facebook page yet, then I’ll give the background information and the question here in the blog. (Click on the link to reach the Facebook page for that post and much more!)

Jesus Christ was attending a wedding at Cana. His mother asked Him to do something about the troubling situation the wedding hosts found themselves in. They had run out of wine.

Although Jesus replied to his mother saying that it wasn’t His time yet, He quickly obeyed her and turned the water into wine. This was His very first miracle.

Now, the question was: “This event is commonly known, but what was the most important result of this event?”

The answer is that after the miracle, the disciples confidently believed in Jesus Christ as the Messiah. They believed in Him, fully trusted Him, and relied on Him, too. (See the Bible verse below.)

Personally, I am so very grateful to have full trust in Jesus Christ, my Savior, and to fully rely on Him, too! It’s really peaceful, even though there is chaos everywhere around with wars and rumors of wars.

Do you believe in God? If so, do you truly trust in Him? If not, open your heart to believe in Him and fully trust in Him, and rely on Him, too. If you haven’t opened your heart to Him yet, then please:

What Would it Be Like to Be Mary?

If you were Mary, what on earth would you be thinking? Pregnant, yet never had relations with a man. Presently engaged, yet about to give birth as a virgin.

Never before and never again shall this occur. It’s the miraculous. I recently experienced the miraculous when my faith was strong for a very simple thing. Just believe! It’s possible.

This seems to be my Christmas theme this year: Just believe!

Trust God. Only He can redeem a fallen world of individuals to be raised up to Heaven someday. Many are already there among the “cloud of witnesses.”

Only God has the power to forgive through Jesus Christ. He did it in a just way through the death and life of Jesus Christ. He is the Living God! Almighty Father God; Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ; and the Holy Spirit, also known as “the Comforter” are calling on you.

You’d be a fool not to want His forgiveness. Even the Bible refers to those who reject God as fools. The nonbelievers lose their way, with some never to return.

The wise men found their way to the baby’s birth as they followed the star, the sign of his arrival. Yet, Jesus Christ was in existence in Heaven before He was born into humanity. Can you imagine?

He is the ONLY one who could do this, and He did it. He not only died for us sinners, but He ROSE for us sinners, too, so we could be forgiven. Who else can lay claim to this unique miracle?

Will you accept Him into your heart today? Will you believe? I sure hope so. If you need a guiding light like the star leading the wise men to Jesus, go ahead and use the Contact tab to reach us through this website.

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year, too!

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself.

Really Being Thankful and Pleasing to God

As the holiday of Thanksgiving approaches here in the U.S., we should be contemplating everything with thankfulness. What are we grateful for in our lives? Are we grateful for our very life itself?

“Well pleased” is one of the definitions of the word, thankful. We may be thankful for accepting God into our hearts (if we have done so). If not, feel free to contact me through my website here.

Most Christians say they wonder how others can live without believing in God and accepting Him. However, do we give any thoughts to what God thinks about us? Is He well pleased with us and our actions in serving Him and our inactions by not giving in to the temptations to sin?

Is what you are doing with your life reflecting the things that God is well pleased about? Let’s discuss a few things that God is well pleased with that we may or may not be doing. If we are truly thankful, we should be making sure that we are pleasing God.

“… Let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to His name.” (Hebrews 13:15)

And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” (Hebrews 13:16)

Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.” (Hebrews 13:17)

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

Be careful to obey all these commands I am giving you. Show love to the Lord your God by walking in his ways and holding tightly to him.” (Deuteronomy 11:22)

Love the Lord your God with all you heart, all your mind, all your soul, and all your strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Who Controls Your Mind?

Are you thinking, “Great question” or are you thinking, “What do you mean? I control my own mind?” Really? Are you sure about that?

I can tell you that the image we’ve probably all seen by now or imagined in our minds isn’t too far from the truth. The image I’m referring to has an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. There really is an evil one who whispers into your ear. There is also a godly one who will whisper into your ear, too.

What comes out of us is just as important as what goes in. So what comes out of you?

Your mouth or your written words have entered your mind first, and possibly your heart, too. Again, what comes out starts from what’s within.

In James 1:21, the Bible states:

Get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

God’s salvation is free and undeserved. (See Romans 11:6, among other verses in the Bible.)

How well do you know our Heavenly Father? Have you read the Bible yet, so that God can plant His Word in your heart?

Some people have evil agendas. They have been conditioned from birth to believe in what they say, write, or think. Their actions follow their mind and heart. Although some just follow the crowd that may steer them in a certain direction, whether they realize it or not. They may be easily swayed in the wrong direction.

Who has attempted to influence your mind? You should think about who controls your mind, which will effect everything else in your life. You may be easily deceived or brainwashed, but you ultimately have control over this if you choose.

I’ve been using this platform for many years and will continue to spread the Word of truth. This is the Word of God: the Bible.

Do you have the Holy Spirit residing in your heart? If not, you are likely listening to and following the wrong crowd.

Even if you follow the right crowd, the enemy can still come in and whisper evil thoughts into your mind. Who will you listen to when this happens? Will you control your thoughts and actions or will you be led astray?

You must get to know the Lord in a close relationship, and it should be for the glory of God. Why not start today because it may be too late tomorrow.

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself!

God’s Word for Today:So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.” (Romans 8:6) (The Spirit referred to in this verse from the Holy Bible is Almighty God’s Holy Spirit.)

Eternity: It’s Hard to Imagine

Imagine … just imagine … living forever — eternally.

There are individuals who are attempting to live forever here on this earth. They believe they will achieve this feat. Oh, but God won’t let that happen. We won’t exist in these bodies forever — no matter how hard anyone tries to make it occur. It won’t be possible.

I cannot even imagine trying to live forever in my body on earth. Even if we could stop aging and decay, it’s not meant to be that way.

I decided years ago to seek God with everything I had within me. I wanted to know Him better. I wanted to verify He’s real. I did verify this. Now I know, without any doubts: God is real!

I learned that eventually (after I die), I will receive a new body in Heaven — a body that will never age or decay. The complete joy we will have as eternal beings in Heaven is unimaginable. Yet, I know with certainty that it will be absolutely wonderful.

Unfortunately, those who reject God will live on eternally, too, but in Hell. For those who end up in Hell, it certainly won’t be a party, as many think it will be like. Instead, it will be like your worst nightmare that you cannot escape.

So seek God today. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Accept Jesus Christ into your heart now.

Another 9/11 could be right around the corner, but maybe nuclear this time. Please, if you are a saved Christian, think about what you can do to help others get saved before the next 9/11 event occurs, and let’s remember all who died today.

You must receive salvation to enter into God’s eternal Kingdom where you will find love and peace forevermore with no more tears or pain.

Start reading the Bible and my blogs. These will help you understand. Start with the oldest dated blog first. Also, feel free to contact me here through my website.

We are human beings, but we are also eternal beings. Where will you end up spending eternity?

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself!

God’s Word for Today:

Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity.”

John 12:25

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

Half an Hour of Silence

We live in a very noisy world with people feeling a lot of fear these days. If people don’t know God, they may be living in this constant state of fear without end.

For those who already know God, there is still fear, but it’s the fear of God instead of humans. For Christians, we can apply God’s protection to our minds and hearts. There are still battles to be encountered, but since we have God on our side, we can put on the helmet of salvation for our mind and the shield of faith for our hearts, while we also apply the rest of our armor (see the previous blog post named “On Guard”).

Sometimes, a state of fear can cause someone to become silent. Maybe there is a fear of speaking up or standing your ground. We need to do both of these things without fear of retribution.

Did you know there is approximately “half an hour of silence” that will take place in Heaven in the near future? Yes, someday there will be about 30 minutes of silence in Heaven. When imagining Heaven, it’s difficult to consider a complete silence for that long.

“Why will this happen?” you may be asking. I’ve asked several pastors that same question. No one seemed to have a plausible answer.

So, I went digging, but I never unearthed anything worthy that could answer the question. It remained a mystery to me for many years.

Then one day, I found a local pastor that had the answer. “That’s it!” I exclaimed when I found it. These are my notes on the subject:

When the 7th seal is broken (as cited in Revelation in the Holy Bible), there will be silence throughout Heaven for about 30 minutes. There is sadness in God’s heart for the inhabitants of the earth who will not repent. His wrath is about to be unleashed. I believe those in Heaven will know what’s about to take place and this is a time of solemnity. God has every right to release His punishment upon the unrepentant hearts of the inhabitants left behind.

Let this be your notice if you have not surrendered to the God who can save you. He offers His free gift of salvation when you believe and confess … Take heart to embrace the truth.

Those left on earth who refused God’s salvation will experience the wrath of God. Very scary events will occur on the earth when this begins. So, if you think the last three years were scary with a pandemic or all the other crazy things that have been happening throughout the world, you haven’t seen anything yet!

You decide: Do you want to escape this or be here for the scariest time of your life? It’s still your choice, but I believe your choice will be coming to a close soon. Don’t wait until it’s too late!

If you accept God’s salvation today, you will be found worthy to escape the horrors to come. We don’t know the day or the hour, but we can see the signs of His return for the Christians. He is Jesus Christ, our Savior. Many individuals who follow the enemy of the air (also known as the devil) are all around the world now openly using all kinds of ammunition against the Christians.

Note the following Bible verse:

Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)

However, you must first be saved to escape. If you want to learn more about getting saved, contact me through this website.

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself!

Rescued and Filled with Light

God rescued me
From my previous fate
He blessed me to be
Free to enter His gate

I had fallen victim to the enemy’s lies
The truth was far away
Suddenly, I could see through the disguise
To my freedom in God today

Don’t be so easily deceived
Believe, repent, and be saved
Open your heart for His love to be received
And then your path will be paved

Now that He rescued me
I’m not only free
There’s so much more I can see
Like the forgiveness Jesus gave us as He hung on that tree

For now you must know
It’s offered to you, friend and foe
To be free to grow
To this, there is a free flow

But one must open their heart
To quickly help advance
For we must all do our part
For the Kingdom of God’s expanse

With each person God has created
To be unconditionally loved by Him
We can all be elated
And shine bright, no longer dim

God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light.” (Job 33:28, NLT)

It’s in the Blood

I hope this post will have an amazing impact on you. The light bulb goes on when God pulls back the veil. This can continue throughout our lifetime if we open ourselves to grow in Christ as we learn through the revelation of His Word.

I want to share with you what brought me to write this post. I actually wrote this a long time ago, and I was even planning to write something totally different now, but the time is at hand, and I can feel the Lord is close.

I recall the eve of my mother’s death. I couldn’t understand what my mom was trying to say. The doctors claimed she had only experienced a mild stroke. Well, then why couldn’t she speak at all still? It was day 2 of her hospitalization and her inability to speak the day before was the first thing alerting us to a problem.

Later on, the nurse said that she thought my mom had been trying to say, “It’s in my blood.” The nurse did not understand and neither did I. Wishing I could hear my mom say something to me, why was the nurse able to hear something, but not me? I was asking her something important, but at this point in time, it was now impossible, because they had intubated her. She never wanted this!

At that time in my life, I was not saved. I was a believer, but that’s all. (If you haven’t read my blog, please go back to the oldest blog post and read each one in succession. It will clue you in to a lot about God through my own life’s experiences. It will help provide you with the natural progression of walking through this life as a Christian.) I knew I should write this blog to tell my story and glorify God. Yet I wasn’t quite at that point yet to do this, but now that I’ve written over 70 blog posts, I can say, it’s all about “God’s Word for Today” — the name of my blog!

So anyway, I was concerned about whether my mother was truly saved before she died. I asked God, and I believe He gave me the words that she had spoken so long ago, but I believe they were slightly different by just one small word. God’s word was like this instead: “It’s in the blood.”

I believe this is what God meant: As my mom was on the brink of her death, she was getting a glimpse of Heaven and realizing that it’s in the blood: redemption and salvation. I also found a booklet she had read, which gave me the confidence of her salvation. I realize now that she was saved by the blood, just as I am now, too. Yet, it’s not just about forgiveness and being saved. Please read on.

I grew up Catholic and never understood that my salvation does not come from simply believing in my head, but it also needed to come from my heart. I didn’t learn this simple truth until I left Catholicism.

So, in conclusion, I just wanted to share with you the reason I’m sharing this quote today. I hope it inspires you and gives you reason to contemplate the questions that the late preacher, David Wilkerson asks. He was a wonderful preacher who has since died. I believe this man is in Heaven now with my mom and many others who have received their salvation!

Hopefully, you’ll read more about the following quote through this link:  http://www.tscpulpitseries.org/english/1990s/ts960415.html

Here’s the quote:

Without a doubt, the blood of Jesus Christ is the most precious gift our heavenly Father has given to His church. Yet so few Christians understand its value and virtue.

“Christians often sing about the power of the blood. Indeed, the anthem of the Pentecostal church is, ‘There is power, power, wonder-working power in the precious blood of the Lamb.” But most believers seldom enter into the power of that blood.

“We simply do not comprehend the great significance of the blood. For example: We constantly ‘plead the blood’ as some kind of mystical formula of protection. But few Christians can explain its great glory and benefits.

“If I were to ask you what the power of the blood means, you might answer, ‘It means that my sins are remitted [or forgiven] — that I’m free from the bondage of iniquity [sin] — that all my sins are covered [by the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for us].’ Yet, beyond forgiveness, what does the blood of Jesus Christ mean to you? Can you explain to me, to your family, to a coworker the value and virtue of the blood of Jesus?

“I want to give you a fuller understanding of the preciousness of Jesus’ blood — and how it can work wonderful changes in your life!

                                                            — David Wilkerson, April 15, 1996

Again, read more on this topic at: http://www.tscpulpitseries.org/english/1990s/ts960415.html

Also, if you’re not familiar with Pastor Wilkerson, he was the man who inspired the movie, “The Cross and the Switchblade,” which was based on a true story. If you haven’t seen the movie, it’s a must see!

A modern version of the movie with yet another pastor’s experiences is called, “Jesus Revolution.” Great movie! You have to see them both!

May God shine His truth and spread His love into your heart and give you purpose to glorify Him for His great plans for your life.

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself!

God’s Word for Today:“Now in Christ Jesus, you who once were faraway have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13)

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)

If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)

And they have defeated him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.” (Revelation 12:11)

How to Find Your Missing Peace

Are you searching for the missing peace in your life?

God’s Word for Today blog

peace

Are you searching for the missing peace in your life? Have you determined that finding your peace is elusive in this post-pandemic world we are now living in?

With the possibility of an impending war inside our own country; a fearful financial crisis with bank failures; floods, earthquakes, tornados, and volcanos destroying homes and businesses more than ever before; and supply and food shortages that have no end in sight, we may be feeling no peace at all. We all need to find the missing peace.

If you’re searching for peace, you’ll find it to be greatest with our Creator, God. He is waiting to help you with open arms.

You may find some peace within your families and with friends. Maybe you’re trying to find your peace by eliminating your intake of the daily news that can be so overwhelming. Maybe you’re using other resources to escape life’s troubles that may actually lead to even more lack of peace.

Numbers 6:26 gives us hope: “May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.”

If we let Him, God will transform us into a new creature in Christ. He gives us what we need, not necessarily always what we may want. We need to believe and have faith in Him. Then we can simply ask Him for the peace we need.

I pray, this will be your experience:

It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.” (Galatians 6:15-16)

Until we virtually meet again, may God call you to Himself!

God's Word for Today:Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
